Industry Podcast
Podcast Featuring Interview with Ireland AM Producer, Cat Stewart.
For my third year Media & Cultural Work module, I wrote the script for and along with two of my peers, co-hosted a 5 minute podcast featuring an interview with a producer for Ireland AM (Virgin Media). This project aimed to explore the realities of working in media (specifically television) production, offering an insight into the daily life of a television producer and hoping to inspire students with a desire to work in this field. This involved researching the guests background to develop engaging and well-structured questions as well as working with my team members to plan, record and edit a quality podcast episode. This experience strengthened my ability to craft engaging media content and conduct professional interviews

Speculative Fiction Product Development
Future Application of Cultural Algorithms: Dynamind.
As part of a second year module in college, Cultural Algorithms, I was tasked with developing a Speculative Fiction Project which aimed to present a future application of algorithms through an imagined technical object. I presented the futuristic concept of ‘Dynamind,’ a neural implant leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance human thoughts and behaviour while promoting mental well-being. This demonstrates my ability to engage with complex theoretical frameworks and use creative visuals to tell a story and build brand identity.

Creating/Building a Brand
Creating a Brand for Environmentally Friendly Car Manufacturer.
As part of a second year module in college, Brand Management, I was tasked along with my group, to ‘create a brand for a manufacturer of environmentally friendly cars’ competing with Tesla. Building on both corporate and visual identity, I designed the name and logo for this company, creating ‘Volt,’ a name reflective of energy, innovation and sustainability. The interlocking lightning bolt logo in blue and green symbolises both electric power and the company’s eco-conscious values. I developed the core brand positioning by defining Volt’s personality and values through a strong visual identity and brand associations, ultimately establishing a strong and recognisable brand.

Website Design
Website Design for Student Music Festival Concept.
As part of a Digital Marketing module in second year of college, I designed and developed a fully functional shoppable Wix website for a student-focused music festival brand. The music festival which I titled “Sonas An tSamhraidh,” was intended to be an end of exams celebration, hosted on the Maynooth University campus showcasing some of the best Irish music acts and featuring stalls from local food companies in order to support the community. This project allowed me to apply real-world digital marketing strategies while honing my web design, e-commerce and branding skills by creating an engaging and intuitive website layout optimised for student users. I also created a promotional poster for the event.

Logo Design
Logo Design for Magazine Concept.
This is a logo generated for my concept magazine ‘Fresh Éire’ made using Canva and Adobe Express. It features the classic claddagh symbol where the usual heart shape is replaced by a pint of Guinness. The words ‘Fresh Éire’ adorn the centre. This was generated with the magazines youthful, alternative Irish audience in mind by merging traditional Irish heritage with contemporary culture. The claddagh, traditionally a symbol of love, loyalty and friendship, represents the community atmosphere of the magazine and the unity associated with bringing together emerging talent and fostering collaboration between designers, musicians and cultural pioneers. The pint of Guinness references the discussion of nightlife within the magazine but like the real thing, is more than just a drink. It represents storytelling, gathering spaces and the shared experiences that fuel Ireland’s creative scenes.
